Bratislava resident Maksym Ronshyn secured a €7,420 victory in the €250 PLO Masters Main Event in May. The tournament was the flagship event in a weekend of PLO fun during the Banco Casino Masters which ran April 28 to May 5 at Banco Casino Bratislava. Ronshyn, a prolific competitor with more than $450,000 in live tournament winnings to his name, was by far the most experienced player at the final table. He beat Welsh player Elliott Batte heads-up, with Sweden’s Serguei Palomera finishing in third place. A total of 17 players made the money.

The €7,125 first prize was Evangelista's biggest live cash but not his only live tournament victory - he also took down a side event at the European Championship of Amateur Poker in London in February 2024. Evangelista beat India's India Vikhyat Ahlawat heads-up with Radovan Fridrich finishing third.
